Shortly afterward, the Korean Ministry of Defense issued an announcement explaining that these lights came from a test of a solid-fuel space rocket. At the same time, the agency also apologized for not notifying people in advance, according to the Korea Herald .
This is a follow-up test to another launch, which was conducted earlier on March 30. The aim of this rocket launch is to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities, after the US and South Korea agreed to end restrictions on Seoul’s missile development.
